i wish nothing but the best for you

heys
yups, i knows, i haven't updated in ages, but honestly, i just have no idea what to write about.
Most of the people who want to know what's going on in my life would talk to me almost everyday directly about it. and when i want to rant or tell someone bout stuff, i rely on my aussie friends nowadays.
anyways, it's strawberry season now! the strawberries are huge. see above pic! and they're cheap-ish. lols! so thats gonna be my fruit for the month, that and pears of course.
second semester started already. full nerd mode on to get the results that i want. doesn't mean i'm still not having fun though. =) i'm still doing what i love to do in my spare time, but instead of procrastinating as much, i put in a bit of studying and feel better about myself at the same time.
quit my korean restaurant job, just didn't have the time to work there anymore, means no more free sushi though. =(. currently working at a fast food place. and the people are friendly, so its all good. =)
today's sunday, so woke up for church today. yups, haven't gone in ages and i feel guilty, but feel better after going for church though. =)
okays, imma go do other stuff now. hehes. and yes, enjoy my strawberries at the same time! XD

recipe : chicken curry

hi pretty peeps!

i miss windows live writer a whole lot. =( it was so much easier to upload pictures then. anyways, today's post is about chicken curry!
so during this cold cold winter, yes it's getting quite cold here, what better way to warm ourselves up than with some chicken curry!

ok, so we're just beginner cooks and therefore unlikely to make our own curry paste. i mean, we could, but between the three of us and our working schedules, it's just hard to find time when not one of us is working. anyways, we used store bought curry paste. any curry paste for chicken curry will do actually. marinate the chicken with about two tablespoons of the paste and leave aside.

then we chopped up our 'secret' ingredients. that is, two red onions, two inches of tumeric, two cloves of garlic, two stalks of lemongrass. we also cut up some potatoes.
i helped out with the chopping, then left the cooking to the experts. XD. so we stir fried the lemon grass until aromatic. then removed it from the wok. then we splashed in a bit of oil and sweated the onion until golden brown. we then added the tumeric and garlic. then added in the rest of the curry paste. we then added in the potatoes, marinated chicken, and a can of coconut cream and water until we were satisfied with the amount.
first we let it come to a boil, then we reduced the heat till a simmer. we left it for roughly half an hour.
ta-da... the finished product.
